The 5-second test: does your mower have a factory roll bar behind the seat? If yes, the MowDome almost certainly fits. The canopy clamps to the roll bar, so deck size does not matter. If there is no roll bar, there is nothing to mount to.

Find your model number on the decal beside the seat or on the frame. Every model below ships with a factory folding two-post ROPS.

Important note on the Z500: John Deere redesigned the Z500 for 2021 and added a factory roll bar. The earlier Z500s — Z525E, Z535M, Z535R, Z540M and Z540R — have no roll bar, so the MowDome will not fit them.

These John Deere mowers are built without a roll bar, and John Deere does not offer one as an add-on — so there is no way to mount a roll-bar canopy to them.

Fitment is driven by the roll bar and your front spindles, not the model number, so plenty of mowers that aren't listed still work. Take these two measurements and order the Universal Kit:

1. Roll bar tube size. Measure the cross-section of the upright — it needs to be 1.5" × 3", 2" × 2", or 3" × 2".
2. Front spindle width. Measure across the tops of the two front caster spindles, outer edge to outer edge — it needs to be 43" to 48". Use the outer edges of the spindle tops, not the tires.
